Marcela Gutiérrez
was born in Florida in 1978 and raised in
Guatemala City until she was 18 years old.
Pursuing her interest in art and design, she enrolled in
Architecture in Monterrey, Mexico.  After two years she merged
into Graphic Design.
She later moved to London to study at Central Saint Martins
and graduated with a BA as fashion designer in 2006.
In 2003 she interned for Luisa Beccaria in Milan; in 2004 John Galliano in Paris; in 2005 Marc Jacobs and
Nylon Magazine in New York.

Highlights include hand painted show pieces for Alexander McQueen and John Galliano, paintings for a large in-store wallpapers for Prada New York and Los Angeles flagship stores.  A Beyonce remix cover and a commercial TV spot (for the Around the World LP).

Currently, Marcela lives and works in New York as an artist.
